I don't care what insults everyone has for this game - I've
always liked this one! Back in the day, it was one of the fourty or so NES games that I
owned as a kid, so it holds its place in my selection of "games I will actually play on an
emulator." Now, the chief complaint among people with this game is the difficulty. Now,
I don't quite know about that since I was able to beat it on my own. However, for those of
you that think it was too hard, this is the version for you!

| Just like the Blaster Master Prototype, this game is
essentially the final version of the game with one addition (and one very, VERY odd change).
This version of the game has a completely invincible Fester! While he can still get hit, no
matter how many hits he takes, his life meter never decreases. Yes, that's right, total
invincibility. Now, on to the other change.... The boss of the first level, McWimpie, in the
released version of the game basically just ran around and whipped at you with his arms. However,
in this pre-release version, he has an additional weapon - The FLAMING CROTCH OF DOOM!
Yes, as you're fighting him, a mouth on his crotch will open, complete with teeth, and spit
a fireball at you! Somehow, I have a feeling the Nintendo Censorship Gestapo had something to
do with the removal of this weapon.
