I don't get it. Most of the Dungeons and Dragons games on the
computer are usually at least entertaining in some way. Yet when it comes to the games that
are released on the consoles, they tend to rather completely suck. Unfortunately, this game
doesn't break that mold. While it does have a few entertaining sequences, overall the game is
just rather poor. In the usual fashon, you begin the game by picking out your character and
"rolling" for the character's statistics. Then you have to ride to town - which is pictured
to the left.
|
| Once you get to town, the "fun" begins. While I will admit
that this is fun for a little while, the game overall is just really boring to me. Other than
find the actual plot of the game, you can break into people's houses and rob them blind. Depending
on the character you choose in the beginning, you can break in using different means. While a thief
can pick the lock with his set of lockpicks, other characters can just force the locks and you're
free to plunder the houses. But be careful, the guards notice you the minute you break in of course,
and every being in town has installed teleport traps in their home, making your pilliging and plundering
all that much harder.

I'll be honest - I probably have not given this game a fair chance.
I just can't get that involved with it. I'm imagining a plot must start up at some point in the
game, but I just don't like this one. Give it a shot, you may think differently...
UPDATE:
according to the dumper of this ROM, it's 100% identical to the release version of the game - byte for byte. Blah. Due
to this circumstance, the ROM will no longer be available from this site.
