I guess I had just stopped paying attention to the Blockbuster
championships at this point, because I do NOT remember this one taking place at all! In one
of the most lame-duck competition carts I've ever seen, Acclaim (ACK! Lame!!) is obviously
trying to promote two games that otherwise would have seen mediocre reception in the stores.
Whether or not this technique worked or not is questionable, but here it is.

| The championships consisted of two parts - NBA Jam
Tournament Edition and then Judge Dredd. In NBA Jam, you get to play one quarter as the
team of your choice with all bonuses turned on - including both the power-ups and the bonus
point shots. The game figures your final score based on your score, how many three point shots
were made, and on if you won the game or not. After that, you play a timed game of Judge Dredd,
which your final score is simply what you earn in the game, and is then added to your NBA Jam
score.

I really wish more information was available on this game. I've
poked around the internet and have found nary a peep about this particular championship. So, if
you happen to know any more details such as what prizes were awarded, please drop me a line
