Well, this is another game from Apollo that looks like it is fairly
early in its development cycle. Pompeii was one of many MANY prototypes that Digital
Press found in one fell swoop in a project called "Secret Mission!" and was the first released
ROM from that project. The game has been rumored to exist for quite a while - a fully completed
prototype was supposedly shown at the 1983 Consumer Electronics Show, but the only evidence to
that effect is a prototype box scan that AtariAge has posted. Who knows, maybe one day the final
version of this game will show up and we'll finally get to try this one. At least the volcano in
the backround looks pretty cool...
