Miss Piggy's Wedding Version 1

Prototype ROM
Unreleased
Released on the Atari 2600 Nexus. Owner Unknown.

This is the earlier of the two known versions of Miss Piggy's Wedding. This game is very early on in the production process, as not very much in the way of gameplay has been implemented into this version. The story of the game is that it's Kermit and Miss Piggy's wedding day, and at the church, Kermit gets cold feet. As Miss Piggy (player 1) you're trying to keep him from escaping the church, and as Kermit (player 2), you're trying to get the hell out of dodge. In this version, the player control has been implemented, but there is no collision detection and no way to advance the game. Basically, this is more or less just the character animation. However, a ROM dump of the more complete version has finally been released...

Please note this game is unplayable - there is nothing wrong with either the emu or the ROM.

Ahh, now this is looking a little more complete. Collision detection is present in this version, along with Gonzo as the minister, the key to lock or unlock the church doors, and the cab to escape in at the bottom. Depending on which character you choose to play, the key will have a different effect on gameplay - grabbing the key as Miss Piggy will close the church doors, locking Kermit inside, while grabbing the key as Kermit will open those same doors and allow you to escape. The wedding guests (the beige squares) now can get in your way with the addition of collision detection. However, these are the only advancements since the laste version - the game is still not playable. Once the doors are closed, if Miss Piggy touches Kermit, the game freezes - this probably would have been her chance to drag Kermit to the altar. Kermit cannot escape, as the doors - even opened - will not allow him outside.. Much better, but still unplayable...

Please note this game is still unplayable - there is nothing wrong with either the emu or the ROM.
