Players Cards #3

L to R, top to bottom:
Bob Bailey was not a great player by any stretch, in
fact I cannot even recall him getting a hit,
or playing the field for that matter. But
yet, he stuck around for a few years in the
mid 80's. He is most famous for his "window
weight" warm-up bat, and for his "Bailey
Juice", a rancid concoction of unknown
liquids that usually had a layer of scum
on top. I already mentioned Bob Nowosad. Scott Musick played SS and Pitcher from 1986-1987. He
was a great competitor who was multi-talented.
Tony Lugo was a big part of our team in the late 80's.
He and his brother Jaime formed a double
play tandem with Tony at SS and Jaime at
2nd. He had an unusual swing, he hit off
his back foot with surprising power. The
big guy in the middle is Hector Tellado. He would be wearing a black uniform if
Dennis and I didn't check and change the
uniform order he placed for us. He was Bob
Bailey's sole victim in drinking the "Bailey
Juice". He also left the team under
hostile conditions relating to the uniform
fiasco. You already met Jim Haley. Drago Gogo was.... well.... I'll let you guess. You
all met Ken Hindmon earlier. Buford Plummer was an All-Star
caliber player for the team for many years.
Well, not quite.... Drago and Buford (both
fictitious names) were just strange guys
who wandered onto our fields during games.
